Whether you’re looking for cello lessons for a young child, for an advanced student who is ready to deepen their skills, or if you’re an adult cellist yourself (or an adult hoping to learn!), let’s chat! I am an experienced, encouraging teacher, and I enjoy sharing my passion for music with my students. I have over 25 years of private teaching experience, providing training to students aged seven through adult, beginning through professional.

I have a talent for keeping students engaged and learning over many years. Parents sometimes first bring their children to me as elementary school beginners, and those kids enjoy cello so much that they continue their studies with me all through high school. Some go on to continue their musical education at the college level.

Mr. Shoebotham has been an incredible influence on my son’s musical growth. Under his guidance, my son’s technique, confidence, and overall love for the cello have flourished.
